I just wanted to say that the 107ft jump is sick. It gives me the chills to think of the day I get to see it in person. I have heard you have hooked up with some of us East Coast jumpers though a cliffjumping website. That rocks, can`t wait to make a trip to `the clam`.

I am 25 years old and from PA. I've been a competitive springboard diver for most of my life and recently (within the past 5 years) have been highdiving and firediving professionally with a company out of FL. We do state fairs and Six Flags amusement parks seasonally, as well as other out of season gigs in Puerto rico and the Dominican Republic. Adrenaline is my drug-of-choice, and cliff-diving gives me more of a rush than anything out there! Thanks for keeping the vibe alive!

    Cliff Jumping Rules!!
My friend got me into cliff jumping about three years ago and I loved it since. There are some great places to go here in AZ such as Canyon Lake, and Saquaro Lake. The cliffs range from 5 feet to 50. There are some higher ones but we dont have a boat to go to them. One day we will though! They look at least 100 ft.
    Rock on,

    Hello --

My name is Celina and I help research for a lifestyles oriented extreme sports show called bE-iT!. www.bE-iT-kissmark.com. I am currently trying to locate California cliff jumpers who might be interested in creating a three to five minute segment with us for one of our upcoming episodes. Would you or anyone you know be interested in being featured on our program?

At your earliest convenience, please drop me a line at oopsproductions@ix.netcom.com or call me at (818) 508-9010. This will be the first time we will feature cliff jumping on our program so any information you can provide about the sport would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon!

I was looking for the history of the cliffs. I'm from San Diego, born and raised. My grandfather Horace Poole use to dive from the cliffs in the late 1800's.It was a weekend attraction to see him do this. Other people died trying to accomplish this feat. I have a photo that my father gave me of my grandfather diving. About 2 years ago I went to the cliffs, I found a small museum there and they had a picture of my grandfather during one of his dives. I took my father who is 89 years old, the following week to see that his father made it into a musuem. It was one of the proudest moments in my life. If there is a picture on the net could you please let me know?

Jumped the Clam everyday in summer of 1984.Deadman's cliff was out of the question. The water was cold considering I was from Fla.We also swam into the cave below the jump which led to the gift the gift shop above. i cant believe there is a website for the CLAM.

Your a fag. I was showing your site to a friend here in NZ and I thought I would, drop you line. Mostly I wanted to say I was haveing a good time and that I have a true jump here in NZ at 45meters (do the math if you can't figure that out). Also, I wanted to know when you are comming over and fixing my FX card. You had better do it soon or god help me I will get you. LOL.

Grew up in SD but haven't lived there for 20 years. During the late 70's some friends and I brought a keg and set it up in the cave underneath, pretty stupid... but lots of fun when you're 17 or 18 and indrestructable.

I think it was people like me that made them enforce the no jumping rules.

You guys should come up to Jasper AB up in Canada where I live. We have an awsome cliff jumping lake called horse shoe
it has many cliff starting at 10 feet going as high as 100 feet. Extreamly deep water so there is no worie of hitting rocks, however
the watter is extreamly cold. In the middle of the summer is not to bad but when we start jumping in may it is deadly.
One of the best things is that it is leagle and is a 4 min walk from the high way. Awsome mountains souround the lake
and because it is in a National park there is no development with in hundreds of miles. (either than the small town of Jasper)

I have some pictures i will send you when i get to my computer at home maby you can make a link on your web page and we can
connect it to the web page im making for horse shoe lake.

Live in Everett W.A not far from Seattle. A lady wanted to jump off the Ship Canal Bridge. Held up traffic, and people yelled for her to jump! Heard anything on this? 160 feet! The poor misrable woman jumped 3 hours later and was saved.broke her up bad. How many bad dives result in catastropic injuries? You folks have nerves of steel , I bet!Do many people wonder if this sport may closely parallel peoples inate interest in tempting fate and death? I am just curious. I jumped into a very deep rock quarry when I was young. Didn't prepare myself for what would happen when I tried something that appeared easy at first, but turned out testing my inate sense of survival, and fear! due to not pannicking, and quick thinking,I am still here! With all respect to those who have the guts to do this extreme sport,I know I will not be able to ever try such an exciting thing as diving from such distances.Birds without wings! My hat is off to all of you out there on those cliffs!
