    will-
i just read the article "Re-open the clam",and i have some advice:
i don't know if you feel the same way but i think cliff jumping is a very religious experience. and it's our right, guranteed to us by the CONSTITUTION, to be able to choose ANY religion, we see fit. the supreme court deals with laws that dispute the constitution, and the constitution always wins. the only thing is, they can only hear "real" cases, or cases where some one is found guilty of the un-constitutional law. then you have to appeal all the way to the supreme court, i don't see how we could lose when the constitution is on our side. of course there are a great deal of "constitutional rights" that have been taken away from us, in the name of things like safety and home land security, but it's worth a chance. i'm no lawyer, just a high school kid who finished a U.S. government class, but i think if the cliff jumpers banded together we could beat these fascist dictators.

I have a question and the only people who can answer it are people who have jumped from over 100 feet and into saltwater. I tried a large bridge jump last spring and had perfect water entry but when I hit the water my feet skipped resulting in a large amount of pain and 1 shoe being ripped off of my foot. I held them flat to the water. My question is does that always happen or is there something I can do to prevent that. Should I point my toes or wear boots? What do you do? Have you ever been injured while doing Dead Man's Jump? I appreciate your knowledge and help because I will be jumping into water that has Great White sharks in it and shark sighting season started the other day

Hey I live in Ventura County and a fat cliff jump is being closed, Red Rock, Santa Barbara. A few people have died from jumping from the 80 foot cliff. The sudden collision with rocks is what does them in. La Brinca Canyon in Thousand Oaks has been shut down for 18 years due to the city not wanting to airlift victims out. I have recieved tickets and it really pisses me off and would like to do whatever I can to reopen these places. I feel that a constitutional lawsuit saying our right to the pursuit of happiness and the liberty to make our own decisions has been infringed upon. It also only takes 4 people to start a religion and then it would be religious discrimination to outlaw our churches, I mean cliffs.
    Jump safe and often

your web site is awesome , but the photos don't give very good perspective of the jumps other than Dead Man's,i guess i'll have to make the 4 hour pilgrimage and check it out myself, along with the devil's punchbowl, and cougar canyon, maybe even farther south to la bufadora in ensenada, mexico.
    See you at the cliffs.

Fabulous site. I jumped the clam in college in 1982 and it was great. I don't think I have the balls anymore to do Dead Man's. I work with Will and he's a stud!

nice site, wish i could come to cali. my friends and I have been collecting a series of jumps that we do from bridges, to quaries, cliffs, trees, etc. It'd be cool to have some kind of gallery/search to find places in local areas. I'm from the east coast email me if you know of any places near NH or want to know of some. (There are like 15 places we go ranging from 80 ft to smaller 10 ft stuff) peace

"what is the highest height you can jump from without killing yourself"- i saw on real tv a sky diver whos shoot didnt open, he hit the ground from a couple thousand feet n lived, so u need some proof to persuad the folks? 25m- 75ft go for it, just look at dead mans thats 35m.

ne ways im from bermuda and have bin jumpin big cliffs my whole life (19 yrs). my best dives prob a cliff we got called peak. its abbout 80 ft into about 5-8 ft of water depending on tides, the tricky part is u got to clear a reef. i like the looks of jaw drop and would llike to dive it some day, but i gots to ask, as ne one done a gainer off it?

hey guys, big time fan of free falling, but you guys need better jumps on your website. Me and my brother jumped off a 17m tree (about 60-65ft) and im only 15 and he's 13. It was at avoca beach in N.S.W, and heaps of people have been off it, theres a "ladder" of branches etc that you have to climb up, and jump out about 2m to reach the river.

Anyway enough about me, i would really like some figures on what is the highest height you can jump from without killing yourself. reason, i wanna jump off a bridge, about 25m high, but parents wont let me untill i prove it safe, really need help plz plz plz.
