Why should jumping at The Clam not be illegal?

Well reason number one, it's fun! The point of going to The Clam is to have a good time with your friends and get an adrenaline rush. It's that simple.

The real reason why it's dangerous to keep it illegal is best stated by my friend Eric. He argues that the city does not take into account the mentality of a male adolescent teenager.

If someone is determined to make the jump, he is going to do it. With a fine of $290.00 at risk, your going to make the jump when the lifeguards aren't around.
